BCO History
Bensuaski & Co. was founded in 1980 in the by Fernando Bensuaski. In its first decade, the company operated primarily in the Pacific Northwest area of the United States, providing advisory services and raising capital for medium-sized private companies. Subsequently, it expanded by doing business throughout the United States, then Europe and, finally, Greater China. We established a Shanghai office in 2002 and have worked with companies located in 13 provinces.
Since 2002, we have operated as Sinolinks Financial Services in Shanghai, during which time we had formal joint ventures with (a) the Berenberg Bank, Germany’s oldest private bank, (b) Chenco Holding Co., the largest Trans-Pacific real estate investment company, currently with US$9 billion of assets under management, and (c) Octavian Advisors, a billion-dollar hedge fund in New York.
Our company was chosen to advise the World Economic Forum on matters of private equity investments in China and our founder attended the famed annual meetings in Davos for three years.
